What's your BeautyMark? Whether seen or unseen, we have something that is super special about us all! B.M.C is a non profit organization that prides itself on educating children and adults about both internal and physical BeautyMarks! With a FREE presentation for our preschoolers, we use our main characters Nemo and Dory to illustrate that we are all different in our own way. Not only will the children understand through our hands on arts and craft that they are Brave, Beautiful, Smart and Successful they will also know that any "FIN" (anything) is possible if they believe in themselves first! I consider myself to being an advocate for the young and older generation. I understand what it is like to face several challenges due to my own physical BeautyMark however, I have also learned through facing adversities I found out how to overcome trials such as low self-esteem, discrimination bullying and negativity with positive affirmations, rebuilding my thoughts and healthy behavior exercises. Today i have taught countless children and adults how to maintain these daily exercises that will set them for a successful life.
My Beautymark Story
1988 was the day I died! Yup, you read that correctly! My mother was forced to have a C-section at 5/6 months pregnant after the doctor's pronounced me dead in her womb. Some would say that my life from the jump was hopeless. Yet, some how some way God saw fit that I needed to be here! Growing up I never understood my purpose in life. In fact, I thought getting teased and being treated unfairly was my life! That is until I found out who I truly was! My favorite book tells me that I am LOVED, CHOSEN and that I have A PURPOSE! Beautymark Community is a non-profit organization that helps to engage, ignite and empower those who have physical or internal disabilities (known to B.M.C as “BeautyMarks”). We believe by educating others with exciting tools to help them remember we are all different in our own way, we will help bring unity and awareness.
